So living in Georgia now i though a Peach fruit salad would be a good one to start off with. While i give some directions on the gelatin follow the directions on the brand you bought. They are all just a little different. Any way its that time of the year when we are stating to look of new recipes for the out doors and that don’t heat up the kitchen. So stay tuned for my series of fruit salads.
Ingredients:
1 can (28 ounces) peaches in syrup, drained, reserve syrup (about 2 cups drained peaches)
1 package lemon flavored gelatin
2/3 cup creamed cheese
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chilled whipping cream
Directions:
Heat a cup of peach syrup from one of the cans.
Place the gelatin in a bowl and add hot peach syrup and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
Place the gelatin in the frig until the mixture just starts to thicke.
When gelatin mixture is thickened, mix in peaches and cream cheese and pecans.
Fold whipped cream into gelatin mixture and turn into the prepared mold. Chill in refrigerator until firm.
